The Holidays and STE!

It feels like it was just the other day I was planning my vacation and now I am planning my holiday events. Time is definitely passing to quick for me. My son William is arriving on Sunday from Ohio. Its been a little over a year since I last saw him and I can't wait for his arrival. He will be spending a couple of weeks with us and the whole family is super excited. I spent most of the evening yesterday putting my grocery list together so I can go shopping for all of his favarite snacks, meals, etc. I want the holidays to be super special, its been a while since I've had all my kids at home during the holidays. Christmas eve dinner will be at my sister house. Christmas will be spent at my house. I am planning a nice dinner with all of my kids favorite desserts. These next few weeks will be very busy for me. Having William home I am going to be a busy bee but loving every minute of it. This year was the first time I did alot of online shopping. I've purchase thing online before never never did christmas shopping online. It was kind of nice and it was definitely alot more relaxing than hitting the stores. More and more people are doing online Christmas shopping so I figured why not do the same except I get get cash back and points on my shopping through Shop To Earn. I purchased a few video cd's at a very good price, I also ordered a few jackets from under armour, holiday baskets from Mrs. Beasley and some pjs from Victoria's secret. Not to mention, William's airline ticket for his upcoming visit. I receive free shipping on everything, plus my cash back and a total of 78 points from my own shopping. I've been checking my points daily and each day I keep getting more and more points. Just yesterday I receive 6 points and today I had another 17 points and these are points I am receiving from other people ordering through my STE site. Its pretty cool seeing these points accumulating plus the cash back. STE is doing their commission payout early this month. They are planning it for Dec. 16 which is 5 days earlier than usual. I think its very considerate of them for doing this. They know there are alot of people counting on this extra money and receiving it early is a blessing. The business is going very well for me and I count my blessing everyday. I currently have seven people signed up under me and a total of 29 people in my team. Due to all the preparation for the holidays I haven't devoted as much time to STE as I would like but after this week I will be back on track and will be getting back to business to grow my team. I am still working on my recipe boxes and recipe cards that I am making for the ladies in my family as Christmas gifts. I finally completed my holidays christmas tags. I truly enjoy making these. It was fun using my stamps again. Once I complete my recipe boxes I will take photos of them plus the tags and post them on my blog for all to see.

My New Online Business

It's been a long while since I last posted on my blog. Some of you I've been keeping in touch by email but I lost contact with alot of you and I hope to reconnect again. All is good at the homefront. We went through a few obstacles and hurdles this past summer but luckily life is back to normal again. I just started by own online business called Shop To Earn and I am really excited about it. My website has over 600 retail store links and everytime anyone shops from my site I get cash back plus points. I've only been in the business since Oct. 15 and I am extremely happy with the results. I do alot of online shopping so it made alot of sense why not earn extra cash while I shop and when other people shop. I hope you go by and visit my website and tell me what you think.

Non-Rectangular Card Swap

I participated in non-rectangular card swap that is being hosted at Scrapbook.com latin forum. We had to make cards that are not your typical rectangular shape cards. I had first signed up to do the baby onsie card but there were too many baby cards so I decided to do a ladies shirt card. I'm glad I signed up for this as I was losing my strive to make any cards. Putting these cards together has pumped me up and I can't wait to get home tonight to make a few more for some friends of mine. I start my vacation on June 27th and I can't wait. This will be the first time in 5 years that we will not be traveling to another country. This year we plan to visit different parts of Florida. Its funny I've been here for 18 years and still have not seen all the beauty Florida has to offer. I plan to visit St. Augustine. I hear its really beautiful there. I also plan to visit Orlando and go to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. I've never been to Islands of Adventure so this will be a first for me and my family. My daughter loves Orlando so this trip is for her. Well friends, thanks for visiting and I will chat with you all later!

It's been a while......

Wow, I didn't realize its been that long since I last updated my blog. Time sure does fly by. I am not going to bother to make up any excuses, I have simply been feeling a little lazy lately and have not done any cards, scrapbooking pages, let alone any blogging what so ever. Well today is the last day of school here in Florida and boy am I glad. No homework or studing for two whole months. I plan to continue the daily reading with my daugther. I don't want her brain to get totally lazy this summer. The weather here in Florida is getting extremely hot and sticky. I have no complaints, everyone that knows me, knows that I love hot weather and hate the cold. I am hoping now that school is over that I get my motivation back to start making cards again. I signed up for a non-rectangular card swap that is due next week so I plan to be busy this weekend making 14 cards shaped as a baby onsie. I already started on 4 and hope to complete them tonight. I have to make sure they are out in the mail by Monday. Once I am done, I will post photos of the cards. I want to thank Anna one of my SBS12 for sending me some really nice PIF Candy. The first 3 people to post on my blog will receive PIF candy from me. Once you receive my PIF candy you need to do the same and send out PIF candy to the first three people that leave you comments on your blog. Well ladies thanks for visiting and I hope to have new photos up shortly.

There's a rumble in the jungle!

I made these two cards on Saturday using stamps from Penny Black. My favorite is the hippo, I think she is too cute. I used the prisma color pencils that I had sitting on my desk for the past six months. I am not to familiar with the blending technique and attended a class given by Margarita at our local stamp store. I was so happy I attended this class because she gave us alot of tips on blending. I plan to use these color pencils more often since I now have an idea how to blend. Hopefully with time I will get it to perfection. I plan to make more cards with these awesome jungle animals I am sure they will come in handy for kids birthdays or even a birthday invitation. Last night I worked on my baby shower cards, I completed 5 cards last night, I still have 11 to go! Well I gotha go, I have to visit a few of my friends blogs. Thanks for visiting!

Finally got some scrapbooking done!

To celebrate National Scrapbooking week, I got together with a few friends on Sunday, May 4 and we did some scrapbooking. It was an all day event but I only stood for 4 hours. We got together at Bebe's house. She has such a beautiful house and she made all of us feel so welcome. I finally started on my summer vacation photos from last summer. I completed two full layouts, one from our vacation and my daughters graduation. Attached are a few photos from our scrapbooking gathering. We had lots of fun, I can't wait for us to get together again!

Its A Baby Shower

I am doing a baby shower for my buddy Priscillia who is having a baby girl in August. I am planning her shower for June 22nd and I am playing around with different images for the baby shower invitations. I love the one with the pregnant diva. This image reminds me of her since she is young and hip. She wanted her shower colors to be minty green so I made sure I used that color in this card. One of my friends from SB sent me a very nice Rak which included this image, the image is from TAC. I want to thank Yesenia who is from Puerto Rico for sending me all the wonderful images which included this hip and stylish mom-to-be. The other card is a dress. Its not minty green but right now I am just having fun putting things together. I actually like both and would probaby use the dress as thank you cards after the shower. If any of you have any neat templates for baby or baby shower cards please share. I would like to try out a few more before I finally decide which one I am going to stick with. I need to mail them out no later than May 15 so I have some time to play a bit. I am finally caught up with all my pif mail outs, swaps and Raks, wow, these things are like having a second job. I'm not complaining because I love doing this and I enjoy receiving all the goodies everyone has sent to me. Tonight I plan to complete my card for my mothers day swap that I signed up with. Well girls, I wish you a beautiful day and thanks for visiting!

Shame On Me!

Shame on me, I've been a bad blogger! I haven't updated my blog in over a week and can kick myself for not doing so. Unfortunately, sometimes life becomes a little to hectic that there is so much you can do in a day. Well I've been busy the past two weeks trying to complete my complicated taxes and I am so happy that April 15th came and went. I am finally feeling relax now that my taxes are completed and are with uncle Sam. I haven't done much of any stamping or scrapbooking which I am missing dearly. I plan to get together with my friends this weekend to do some Mothers Day cards and maybe some scrapbooking. I will post whatever project I work on next week. I haven't been blogging much but I have definitely been busy putting together the PIF candy I had to send out plus putting together the bella swap to mail out to my SBS12 sisters. On top of that I signed up for a secret mothers day swap and was workinig on that. I have actually been busy! Well this is my update, thanks for visiting and we will chat tomorrow.

Happy Wednesday to All!

Its been a couple of days since my last post. Not much is happening. I did some scrapbooking this past weekend with my daugther. Just worked on two pages and both are missing its and buts, I plan to complete this weekend and post them next week. I did get together on Monday with a few of my stamping friends and we worked on two cards and a book to store the cards in. We had alot of fun working on this project. Attached are the photos. Many thanks to Lynn for giving us this template for the book, I love it. The other card, I worked on last night. I plan to mail it out to my ex-boss. The sentiment is inside (just because I care) from Stampin Up! I started watching the television series (Prison Break). Boy is it addictive, just like stamping. I am watching the first season which is pretty old but I have to say it is awesome. I went to sleep last night at 1:00 am watching episodes 9-13. The only reason I went to bed is because I didn't have the following episode, I have to go pick it up from Blockbuster today. I want to congratulate the following people for winning my PIF candy:

Anna -SBS12
Rachel Webber - SBS12
Yanitza - SLB

I plan to mail out my PIF candy next week. Just send me a little note when you receive it. Well ladies, I gotta go and visit other blogs!

Papertake Sketch Challege #1

The challenge over on Papertake weekly this week was a sketch, this is my take on it. This is the second time I join a challenge. The paper, bella image was from PIF candy I received from Tracy K. this week. The shoe stamp image is from Danami Designs and the pink felt flower border on top is from Target. I did not add a title or sentiment since it can be for any occassion. I will wait and see what comes up and add a sentiment than. I just love the this bella. Thanks Tracy for sending this great stamped image.

Some Pics!

Are these pics awesome or what. There is not one zoo in the US that will let you get this close to any of the animals. My daughter was able to pet the giraffe and her favorite kangaroo. I can't wait to do some scrapbooking pages with these pics. I have alot more but it takes to long to download them all.

New Blog Look - What do you think?

I want to apologize for not updating my blog since my return from Ocala. Between work, home and preparing for our Easter Event I was left with no time for cards or to even blog. I am sure most of you have notice my new blog layout. I have to give a shout out to Shauna at See My Designs for giving my blog this new look. I wasn't really happy with my other blog look and my daughter was too busy to work on my blog. Shauna worked on one of my other blog friends blog "Stampin Mami" and I just loved it and wanted to change mine right away. So if any of you are looking for a new blog look send Shauna an email and she will be more than happy to set it up for you for a small fee. I know there are alot of free blog templates out there but I wanted a customized blog look and when I last tried those free templates I lost most of my links. It was definitely alot easier having Shauna work on my blog look. Okay, enough with the blog look. I promised to post a few photos of my trip to Ocala, especially the ones with the animals. I'm not sure why, but I keep getting error messages everytime I try to upload the photos to the blog. Once I figure this out I will post the photos. I almost forgot to mention that I received my PIF Candy(Pass It Forward) from Tracy (UK), one of my SBS12 sisters. I was so excited when I received my first PIF candy, she really sent alot of nice things. I took a photo of my pif candy but I am having trouble posting my photos. So ladies the first 3 people to post on my blog today will recieve some PIF from me. Just remember once you receive the PIF candy from me you need to pass on some PIF to the first three people that post on your blog.

I'm Back!

I had a great time in Ocala this past weekend. I did manage to visit Hobby Lobby, I just love that store. I picked up two stamps from House mounse, I have to recharge my camera's battery so I cannot take any pictures of them. I will do this tonight and post them. We visited a house that had their own personal zoo, yes, their own private zoo in their back yard. I took a few pictures with a giraffe and a beautiful zebra. I will definitely post these photos tonight. It was a wonderful experience. You know you go to a zoo and can only take photos of animals and they are always so far away plus you can never touch them. The animals at this private zoo were all tamed. I was able to pet the zebra, giraffe, camel, kangaroo and every animal she had in her yard. The experience was awesome. I'm an animal lover and so is my daughter and this is something we will never forget. I can't wait to put my scrapbooking pages together of these awesome photos. I finally posted the bella swap on the SBS12 site. I hope many of you participate. Also, I am officially a Stampin Up Demonstrator. I am having my first friends and family gathering on Sunday, March 30 and during this gathering we plan to form a stamping and scrapbooking club. I'm really excited about this, this is a great opportunity to hang out with people that enjoy your same hobby and most of them are family so I am really looking forward to seeing them on a regular basis once our group is formed. Well enough chatting for now and I will post some pics tonight.

I received my Scor-Pal!

I was so excited when my husband called me to tell me that I received my Scor-Pal. I just knew there was no way I was going to go to sleep without playing with my Scor-Pal a little bit. I saw this technique on one of the blogs I visited and thought it was the cutest thing. I can't quite remember whose blog I saw this card technique but I will check for it tonight and give the proper credit to the person who designed this technique. I really had fun putting this little card together. I plan to do a few more this weekend as they make cute little thank you cards. I head out to Ocala today and plan to take my laptop, scor-pal and cutter. I plan to pick up some cardstock when I shop at Hobby Lobby. I won't be doing much of card making but do plan to play with my scor-pal and familiarize myself a little more with it. Well girls, I wish you all a great weekend!

Two cards in one day, WOW!

My daughter has been doing great this week with her spelling words and sight words. When this happens, it gives me more time for some me time. My daughter and I did a little coloring together, she really enjoys doing cards with me and I figure if it relaxes me, it must do the same for her. Well after she went to bed I was able to put these two cards together. I really love the bunny card. The other card I plan to give it to a friend today who always mails me Boston Market coupons. She use to work with me but retired this past December. A couple of girls from the office are having lunch with her today and I plan to give her this card with a few postage stamps inside. I guess this is the least I can do since she does use her own postage stamps to mail me my coupons. I'm not sure if I am going to have time to do any stamping tonight. I have to prepare for our mini getaway to Ocala, FL. My sister-in-law moved out there about a year ago and I have only visited once. We plan to spend the weekend there and they have a hobby lobby nearby so I definitely plan to go by Hobby Lobby. We don't have a Hobby Lobby in South Florida. Michaels is great but I love shopping at Hobby Lobby. Hopefully I find a lot of cute stamps on sale.

I can't believe I did it!

Well ladies, remember yesterday I mentioned I was going to meet with a demonstrator from Stampin up. Well I did, and guess what, I signed up as a demonstrator. I am now a Stampin Up Demonstrator. I haven't received my ID yet, but once I do, I will officially be a Stampin Up Demonstrator. It was such a great deal I couldn't resist. I will be getting a bunch of scrapbooking demo stuff worth $330 for $159. On top of that Stampin up threw in a set of stamps valued at $47 and the recruiter threw in another set herself. I get discounts on all my orders plus I can a little extra money on a hobby that I really enjoy. I am not going to stress to much on workshops or classes. I did this more for myself. I am already spending alot of money on stamps and stuff, why not get it at a discount. I'm not too concern on meeting my quarterly quota as my daughter and I are really into this hobby so I am sure between both of us we will be fine. Anything extra is always welcomed. Last night I did not get a chance to do anything with cards due to the meeting with the stampin up recruiter. On another note, I was happy to see that one of my blogger friends from Scrappy Latin Bloggers awarded me with an award "El Blogger del Dia", which means "Blogger of the Day". I'm glad Yanitza thought of me and I appreciate this award very much. Thanks, Yani.

Its Tuesday!

I just love that we are back to daylight savings time. I get to enjoy the evenings better now. After work when I got home it was only 6:30pm and the sun was still shining. I try to do whatever I can outdoors so I can enjoy the fresh air. My husband did a BBQ yesterday while I helped my daughter with her homework and spelling words(We did this outside in the patio). For some reason, not sure why, we were done early and I was able to get a card done and was in bed by 10pm. I haven't been to bed this early in months. I felt so rested when I got up this morning. Well today I am going to meet with a Stampin Up demonstrator. She lady has been calling me and sending me emails for some time now, I figured let me see what she has to offer. Well I will keep you all posted after I meet with the SU Demonstrator.
Attached is another Easter card I made for my niece. Oh, I forgot to mention, I finally finshed getting all my stamped images together for the SBS12 swap and it finally went out in the mail today.

Happy Monday!

I was so excited when I checked my blog this morning and found out I won some Pif candy. One of my SBS12 sisters (Tracy K)was offering some Pif candy and the first three to post on her blog receives the candy. I was one of the three. At times I can be just like a kid and get excited over the smallest things. This was the first time I ever won Pif candy so I was very excited. Once I receive it I have to offer Pif candy to the first 3 people that post on my blog so make sure you all stay tuned. By the way Pif stands for Pass It Forward. Once you receive some Pif candy you need to pass on some pif candy of your own to the first 3 that post on your blog. On Friday, I found the doll pins and purchased a few packs for my ribbon storage. I also picked up two candy jars from Target and started on my little project. I haven't finished but I was sure glad I started. I plan to continue tonight. Attached is a photo. I also got a chance to start on my Easter cards for my nieces and nephew. The one I posted is for my 11 year old niece. I wanted something fun, colorful and cute. I plan to do two more that will be very similar to send to my other two nieces. I need to come up with an Easter card for boys that is not too girly looking. Let's see what I can come up with tonight. I finally ordered the Scor-Pal. I've read so much on the scor-pal that I had to get one. I also purchased the cuttlebug this weekend, it was on sale for $49.99 plus I had a $10gift card from Joann's so I figured why not. I used the cuttlebug to make my Easter card. I really think I am going to love my cuttlebug. The possibilities are endless!

I'm back!

I am so happy to be back in Sunny Florida. Boy did I miss my home, my family and definitely the warm weather. My event went very well considering some bad weather on Sunday. I have to say that was probably my most stressful day. I had people stranded in Salt Lake City, Denver and Grand Junckion. The airport in Aspen was shut down due to the weather (lots of snow) and I had to make a bunch of travel arrangements to get our people into Aspen that evening. We end up using private jets and a couple of buses. Everyone was exhansted when they finally made it in and I was mentally drained. Monday through Wednesday went pretty smooth. Everyone was happy the big boss was happy and I went home happy. I am sure glad its over. I have another big event in May but I am not going to worry about it till the end of April. I want to start working on some Easter cards for my nieces and nephews. I want these to be fun for them. After I am done with that project I will begin on Mother's Day cards. While on my event, I did not get a chance to make any cards or even color any of my stamped images. I did visit a few sites and bumped into a neat link for storing ribbon. One of my cyber friends posted it on her blog and I am now posting it on my blog. For any of you that are looking for neat ideas in storing your ribbon this site is very helpful. I plan to put all my ribbon on clothes pins this weekend. I currently have them in a draw. I just love this idea, its alot more organized than what I have and you can keep them out where you can see them. I have alot of catching up to do at home but will definitely visit my SBS12 to see how you are all doing. Thanks stampin mama for posting the link for the ribbon storage. I just love this idea!

Feeling very stress today!

I have so much to do and so little time. I just have today and tomorrow to get a million things done. I am definitely feeling the pressure at work trying to get everything packed so I can ship to Aspen. I am coordinating an event for 60+ people and they are all presidents and above to major airlines. The pressure is definitely on as I have to make sure everything is perfect and everyone is well taken care of. On top of all that I have my home I have to leave in order. Like I mentioned before, my little one is having her SAT testing on Monday and I am trying to prepare her for this testing plus getting her regular homework and studing done for this week test. Last night I did not have the energy to even try to make any cards. I did visit a stamp shop during lunch and picked up a penny black stamp (Greetings). I figured I'll stamp a bunch of images and while I am on my trip I can have fun coloring them. Well girls, I will chat with you all later tonight. I have a ton of working I need to start working on.

It's A Girl Thing!

I don't know about you, but I just love handbags. I picked up these stamps at a Scrapbooking and stamping expo I attended a few weeks ago. The stamps are by Danami Designs. I have quite a few of Danami stamps. Her stamps are fun, girly and elegant.
Below are the materials used to put my card together.

White cardstock
Black cardstock
Danami stamps (purse trio)
Danami stamp borders (trio)
Very fine glitter
Flower gemstone by Made by Me (Target)
Paper: Bright pink by The Paper Co.
Ink: Versa fine, black onyx
Glue foam dots for the purses
Tombow markers and colored pencils

I visited our SBS12 forum last night and I just love it. Elizabeth and Dawn did a great job putting it together. I love the swap idea. I am just having a hard time deciding which stamp to use for my swap. I am going to try to get this together before my travel on Friday so I can mail my stamp images to Dawn no later than next week. I have a full schedule this week trying to get all my housework done before I leave and also working with my daughter to prepare her for her SAT testing which starts on Monday. Well girls, thanks for visiting and I will chat with you all later today or tomorrow. I forgot to mention, we are having a heatwave here in Florida. The temperature is suppose to go up to the 90's today which is unsual for this time of year. Normally in February the temperature is anywhere from the 70's to low 80's. Too bad I am at work and not at the beach enjoying this beautiful day!

My first challenge

I was browsing the Splitcoast Stampers site and came across all the challenges they post on their blog site. It was very interesting and fun to look at all the wonderful sketches along with other peoples creations. After seeing everyones wonderful work I figured I will give it a try and start participating in their challenges. This card was made using the sketch challenge over at Splitcoast.I started with a simple sketch, SC160. The stamp used was from Danami designs and I stamped it with versa ink (black onyx). The ribbon is from Michaels craft and I used emerald green paper from paper reflections and a green with stripes also from paper reflections. I colored the chicks with tombow markers and than added the fluff from Denami designs. My daughter just loves this card. Using the fluff gives the chicks a fuzzy texture. First I had to put a little crystal lacquer on the chicks than added the fluff. I also added some glitter from Denami designs to the balloons. I'm happy with my first challenge, I wish had more time to get more creative but with the little time I have I become brain dead by 10:30 pm or so. I'm traveling on a business trip on Friday to Aspen and plan to take some of my stamping stuff to work on during the weekend. I have a big event that starts on Sunday but plan to do some stamping and coloring on my down time. My evenings will be free since I don't have to do any school work with my daughter while on my business trip. I'm taking my laptop with me so I will still continue to post and chat with all my Sisters while on my trip.

Huggybella

I had some free time today since I had a conference and was released early. I decided to do one of my bellas. This is the huggybella. I plan to give this card to my best friend next month for her birthday. She loves the colors brown and green together so I thought it would be a good idea to use those same colors on her card. Not sure if I am going to have time tonight to do any cards but I do plan to read and catch up on some blogs.

Thanks for visiting!

Winobella

I am so glad its Friday! I am sure there is alot of us out there that feel the same way. My first grader gets so much homework that most of my evening goes in doing homework, studying sight words and spelling words, plus math work given during the week to prepare for Fridays test. On top of all that we have to read for 30 minutes. Most of the time I am done by 8:30 or 9:00pm. Once I am done with her I clean up the mess from dinner and than I finally have my time which is about 10:30pm or so. This is the time I use to do any of my card creations. I try to be in bed no later than 11:30pm. As you can see I don't have much time to do anything but I try my best to squeeze in some craft time. Last night I finished my winobella card. I had so much fun putting this card together. Like I said before, I just love doing character cards. I colored a few more winobellas I plan to put them together this weekend. I used the following material to put my card together:

Towbow markers and glitter pens for the wine glasses and the wine bottle.
Paper: Michaels (The Paper Co.)
Black
White
Red starburst translucent

Proxy Flower by making memories
Clear gemstones by heroarts

Advice on taking better pictures

Okay, I go to others peoples blog and I see they all have nice pictures of their cards or scrapbooking pages. It seems all the photos I take look dark and blah! Not sure what I am doing wrong. If I put the card in too much lighting it comes out looking too white if I put it in moderate light it looks dull looking. I need some suggestions on taking better pictures of my cards. I worked on these two last night. I know some of my sisters left me comments on the cards thinking they are bellas, the stamp used on the cards were made with the mimi stamps from Danami designs. I did stamp some bella stamps last night, I stamp winobella, I stamped about three of them and plan to color them tonight and maybe even put a card together. In my opinion, I love the character stamps, especially the girly ones. I stamp a few for my six year old daughter last night of winobella and she just sat there and colored away. This was our quiet time last night after an hour or so of homework and studying her spelling words.

My Mimi card

Life is beginning to feel like normal again. These past couple of weeks were really long and stressful. Last night I was able to finish up my mimi card. Sometimes I have a hard time picking the background paper. Not sure if its because I don't have the right variety of colors and patterns or if I am just being picky. Well I colored mini with watercolors pencils and than gave it a little touch with the extra fine glitter. I went to a scrapbooking and stamping expo about a week ago and purchased a few glue pens. They are the best. You outline whatever you want to add glitter too than you sprinkle your glitter on top. Works great in small areas. I was able to start on another mimi card. This one is too cute, its mimi at the spa with her two friends. I will post it tomorrow, I still have to finish it. I haven't heard from any of my sisters today. I hope to hear from them soon!

What a weekend!

First of all I promised to give an update on the birthday party I have been planning for the past two months. Well the party finally took place on Sunday. The theme was Strawberry shortcake. Between my daughter and I we made the centerpieces and the thank you cards. They came out really nice. With everything that I had going on I did not take a picture of the centerpieces. I am sure my daughter did, once I get a hold of it I will post it. The party was a huge success. We had about 90+ people there and all our family members did the cooking. I was on my feet from 7am till about 11:30pm or so. I was so tired that I was extremely cranky by the end of the day. I hate to be like that I just wanted a bed and a massage on my feet. I got the bed but not the massage. I had planned to make a couple of cards yesterday but I really had no energy. I was still tired from the party and had to get some house cleaning and yard work that left me little time to have fun. I did manage to put a card together about 10pm after everyone went to bed. I had made this card before at a workshop I had attended but gave it away to a friend. I liked it so much I wanted to do another one so I can add to my collection of samples.

Its Friday!

Boy am I glad its Friday. Its been a long week for me. I'm planning a big event for next month and finalizing all the small details has me exhausted, not to mention the planning of my grand-daughters birthday this Sunday. I plan to take it easy on Monday and hopefully squeez in time to make a card or two, maybe even three. I hope to hear from more of the sisterhood 12 so I can get to know them all. I hope all you sisters had a Happy Valentines Day yesterday. I decided I did not want to go out and wait 2-3 hours at a restuarant. Instead my hubby and I made a nice dinner and spent it with the family. Here is a card I made using the same butterfly stencil except I just kept it very simple, I loved the look, simple and elegant. Not sure if you can read the wording on the card, it says Let's Chat!

Some of my creations!

This is one of the cards I made last week. This week I haven't done much since I'm helping my daughter with the planning of my grand-daughters birthday, she turns 1 on Sunday and we are throwing a big party. I will make sure to post some photos of the party on Monday. Stay tuned! In doing this card I used the dry embossing method and cut out the little critter. In creating my cards I never really jotted down what I used or the steps to put them together. Now that I am blogging more and I am also part of a sisterhood I plan to jot down all the details so I can give more of a description of my cards.
